Asha Deepam promotes holistic growth, seamlessly blending academic learning with practical vocational skills. On August 2024, students were given opportunities with essential “handy skills,” to cultivate self-sufficiency, creativity, and a sense of cultural identity, ultimately for their overall development and future opportunities.
The various activities like diya painting, garland making, and incense production refined fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, while simultaneously opening avenues for potential income generation for the students.
Through this diverse curriculum, Asha Deepam cultivated creativity, motor skills, patience, and deepened cultural appreciation. By equipping students with these practical abilities, it effectively empowered them to become active and valuable contributors to their communities.
